Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 July 2026

Welcome. These terms explain what you can expect from Jeanus, and what we expect from you. Jeanus is provided by Pixel & Shovel Ltd, a limited company registered in England and Wales, ICO number ZC068491.

By signing up or continuing to use Jeanus, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please stop using the service and email us so we can help.

1. Who can use Jeanus

Jeanus is for businesses. You need to be at least 18, have the authority to bind your business to a contract, and use the service for lawful purposes.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details private. If you invite other people to your workspace, you're responsible for what they do with it. Tell us at once if you spot anything suspicious on your account.

3. Your data

Your data belongs to you. We process it on your behalf to run the service. See our Privacy Notice and Data Processing Agreement for the detail.

You keep ownership of the customers, leads, quotes, orders and content you put in. We don't sell it. We don't train AI on it without your permission. You can export it at any time.

4. Paying for Jeanus

Prices are shown on the pricing page. We'll always tell you before we change them for your workspace. Subscriptions bill monthly by default. You can cancel any time and you keep access to the end of your paid period.

If you go over your plan's AI credit allowance, we'll tell you before charging any overage.

5. What we'll do

We'll do our best to keep Jeanus up, fast, and secure. We aim for 99.9% uptime, but we can't guarantee it - the internet, third-party providers and rare outages happen. If a serious incident hits your workspace, we'll email you.

We take backups daily. If you accidentally delete something we'll try to help you restore it within 30 days.

6. What we ask of you

Please don't use Jeanus to break the law, harass people, send spam, or try to reverse-engineer or damage the service. Please don't upload malware or content you don't have the rights to.

If you use Jeanus to email your customers, you're responsible for having a lawful basis (usually consent or legitimate interest) and honouring unsubscribe requests promptly.

7. Suspending or ending your account

We can suspend or end your account if you seriously break these terms, don't pay, or use Jeanus in a way that harms other users. We'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it where reasonable.

You can end your account any time from Settings. Your data stays available for export for 30 days after cancellation, then we delete it (unless legally required to retain longer).

8. Liability

Jeanus is provided “as is”. We don't give warranties beyond those required by law. Our total liability to you in any 12 month period is capped at what you paid us in that period. This doesn't exclude anything the law says can't be excluded (death, personal injury, fraud).

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we change something material, we'll email you at least 14 days before it kicks in. Continuing to use Jeanus after the change means you agree to the new terms.

10. Law + how to reach us

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If we can't sort a dispute out between us, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Questions? Email hello@pixelandshovel.co.uk. We reply within one working day, usually sooner.
