Jeanus vs HubSpot plus a website: the real cost calculator

HubSpot has a free landing-page CMS, but a real business website (custom domain, no HubSpot branding, blog at scale, e-commerce) is a separate bill. Jeanus includes a full website at every price tier. Build your stack below and see the true total.

Which HubSpot plan?
Add the website platform you would otherwise use (pick one)
HubSpot does offer a free landing-page CMS, but for trade or e-commerce HubSpot CMS Hub doesn't sell at any tier - you genuinely need a real platform like Shopify, Magento or WooCommerce on top. That is what this picker compares.

Standard Shopify plan. For B2B or wholesale features you need Shopify Plus, from around £1,800/month. Edit the figure if that applies to you.

HubSpot, Shopify and Magento figures use published UK list prices excluding VAT, correct at the time of writing, and are for illustration. Website running costs vary widely and exclude build, customisation and developer costs, which can be substantial (especially on Magento and WordPress). HubSpot also applies a roughly 5% annual renewal uplift. Edit the website figure to match your own. Check current prices before deciding.

Why the website belongs in the comparison

It is easy to compare HubSpot's seat price against Jeanus and stop there. But that leaves out something you definitely need: a website. HubSpot does have a free CMS tier, but it is HubSpot-branded landing pages on a hubspotpagebuilder.com subdomain, not a real business site. For a custom domain you need CMS Hub Starter (£20/month); for proper content marketing, A/B testing and blogging at scale you need CMS Hub Professional (£450/month). E-commerce is not on offer at any CMS Hub tier, so for online ordering you still need Shopify or similar on top. Jeanus includes a full website in the same flat price, which is why the fair comparison is HubSpot plus a website against Jeanus.

What a website costs on each platform

PlatformTypical running costThe catch
ShopifyFrom around £65/month (standard)Proper B2B and wholesale features need Shopify Plus, from around £1,800/month, plus apps.
Magento (Adobe Commerce)Hosting and maintenance from a few hundred pounds a monthAdobe Commerce licensing starts around £20,000/year, and build and developer costs are significant and separate.
WordPress (WooCommerce)Hosting from around £30/monthTheme, plugins, setup and ongoing maintenance or developer time are usually the bigger expense.
JeanusIncludedThe website is built into the flat plan, so there is no separate website bill at all.

When HubSpot's stack works out cheaper

To be straight about it: a team of one or two on HubSpot Starter with the cheapest possible website can come close to, or beat, Jeanus on raw subscription cost. The calculator will tell you honestly when that is the case. The picture changes quickly as you add people, move up to Professional, or need a B2B or wholesale website, because Jeanus stays flat and already includes the site.
