Tasks and follow-ups
What lives in tasks, how due dates work, and rep visibility.
Tasks are the "I owe someone something" list. Every task has an owner, a due date, and either a customer or a lead attached. The Tasks page groups them by due date and lets you check them off as you go.
Creating a task
You can create a task from three places:
- From the customer or lead detail page. The task is auto-linked to that record.
- From the Tasks page itself. You will be asked to pick a customer or lead when you save.
- From a quote or offer. If a quote is going stale, click the follow-up button on the quote detail - Jeanus creates a task for you and defaults the due date to three days out.
Due dates and reminders
Due dates are date-only, not time. Overdue tasks appear at the top of the Tasks page in red. If you have email notifications enabled, you will get a nudge on the morning of a task's due date and again if it becomes overdue.
Task visibility
Tasks are always visible to their owner and to admins. Whether they are visible to the rest of the team depends on your workspace's visibility mode - see Rep-owned vs shared workspace.
Bulk actions
Tick multiple tasks in the list to reassign, reschedule or delete them in one go. Useful when a rep goes on holiday and you need to reshuffle their week.
