Which vertical fits you

Wholesale, agency, services, recruitment, or portal-only. Pick the right shape.

Updated 2 July 2026

Jeanus is one product with different shapes bolted on for different verticals. Picking the right shape at signup turns off the modules you do not need and turns on defaults that make sense for your world.

The shapes

Wholesale

For distributors, importers, and cash-and-carry operators. Turns on the products catalogue with case and pallet pricing, the repeat-pricing table, the offer builder for time-limited deals, and the buying deals workflow for the buying team. Portal shows the trade catalogue by default.

Agency

For design studios, digital agencies, and creative firms. Turns on projects with kanban and milestones, client approvals, and the delivery timeline in the portal. Quotes become proposals with sections and terms rather than stocklists.

Professional services

For consultancies, accountants, and other services firms. Same as agency in most respects but with a stronger emphasis on retainers, time-based fees and recurring invoices. Portal foregrounds documents and messages over a catalogue.

Recruitment

For recruiters and search firms. Adds a Candidates table alongside the standard Customers and Leads, plus placement tracking. Portal is disabled by default because candidates and clients rarely need self-serve access - contact-driven flows are more common.

Portal-only

For businesses that already have a CRM they like and just want the customer-facing portal from Jeanus. Turns off almost everything on the staff side and gives you a lightweight admin surface for managing portal users, orders and messages.

Changing your mind

You can switch vertical at any time from Settings > Workspace. Turning modules off does not delete data - it just hides the pages. Turn them back on and the data reappears.

Not sure? Start with the closest match. You will quickly discover which modules feel busy and which feel empty, and you can turn things on and off from Settings. Do not overthink day-one setup - Jeanus is designed to be reconfigured.
