What client projects are for
When to use them, and how they differ from tasks.
Client projects are for delivery work - the phase after you win a deal and now have to actually do it. They sit alongside Customers, Leads and Tasks in the sidebar and are the home for anything with a start, a middle and an end.
Projects vs tasks
A single task is one to-do with a due date. A project is a set of related tasks (or milestones) with a shared deadline and a shared client. If you would think of your work as "the Acme website redesign" rather than "one thing to do for Acme", you want a project.
What lives inside a project
- Tasks or milestones. The unit of work.
- Files and attachments. Anything the client should see or the team should share.
- Comments. Timeline of activity, with optional internal-only notes.
- Client visibility toggle per task. Not everything on the board needs to be visible in the portal.
Best for which vertical
Agencies and services get the most out of projects. Wholesale tenants can use them for internal delivery work (new supplier onboarding, warehouse projects, etc.) but the typical wholesale flow is customer -> order, not customer -> project.
